Mykhailo Mudryk makes his debut against Liverpool

Jan. 22, 2023

Liverpool and Chelsea play out a boring mid-table draw.

It was a rather underwhelming showing for two struggling giants in the English Premier League's Saturday early kick-off encounter between Liverpool and Chelsea.

Chelsea travelled to the Merseysie to face their mid-table counterparts Liverpool at Anfield, and for the two struggling giants, a 0-0 draw that won't go down as a tactical genious by either manager but rather an underperformance by two worldclass teams that have lost their brilliance. Liverpool and Chelsea headed into the game way off the top, with almost 20 points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Chelsea will probably feel they should have won the game after missing two sitters in the first half, but Liverpool will also rue missed chances early on in the second half.

What was most anticipated was the debut of Chelsea's new talisman Mykhailo Mudryk. Mudryk was handed his debut after subbing on for Lewis Hall in th 55th minute, and although it was a 35 minute cameo, he showed his quality and his performance might have earned Chelsea a deserved draw at full time.

Will Mudryrk help Chelsea back to the top? or will he turn mediocre like the ones who came before him?
